Avoid Bad Emails: Recognizing Phishing and Spam

You probably get hundreds of emails a day. But not all of them are genuine. In fact, many people out there want to get your login information, credit card and banking information, social security number, and other sensitive data. They know you probably use AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile or another common company as your phone service and that it’s also likely you use Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or another common bank for your finances. With some cleverly crafted emails and guesswork, bad guys on the internet will try to trick you into handing over your information. With some good technical knowledge, you’ll be able to tell the difference between your legitimate companies and the fake ones.
