Tax Day Tea Party in Kentucky, Tomorrow April 15th

The protests are in opposition to various aspects of government spending, including the Homeowners Affordability and Stability Plan, the Troubled Assets Relief Program, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 to name a few.
Kentucky is hosting several locations for those who would like to participate in the national Tax Day Tea Party. The link below presents a list of all cities and sites.

Google is saying it wants to be the world's communication hub, and hundreds of companies — ranging from mobile phone operators to Skype to Microsoft better be listening.
Microsoft Testing Kumo Search Engine

There's no question that Microsoft aims to dominate every aspect of the multimedia industry, whether it's multimedia players, internet browsers or gaming consoles. However, the company's latest effort to rule the world comes in the form of a search engine now undergoing private testing by Microsoft workers. If successful, the upcoming Kumo.com could pose a threat for Google and perhaps even Yahoo.

Southeast Tourism Society names eight Kentucky events as top attractions for the first part of 2009

• “Kentucky Crafted: The Market 2009,” which will be held in Louisville, Feb. 19-22;
• The Keeneland spring meet, which will be held in Lexington, April 3 to 24. It includes three weeks of festival attractions that draw nearly 250,000;
• The Kentucky Derby Festival, which will be held April 11 to May 1. It will feature 70 events leading up to the Kentucky Derby;
• Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, an equine event that will be held April 26 to 28 in Lexington;
Louisville Zoo's Timmy, the oldest male Gorilla in North America, Turns 50!

Apple Unveils New Software Updates and Pricing at its' Annual Conference
Submitted by IgLou1 on Wed, 01/07/2009 - 16:02While there wasn't a new iPhone or iPod introduced, there were some significant changes announced that will be beneficial to many consumers. iTunes is not only tweaking its' pricing, but all songs will be available DRM-free. That means the music will be freed of digital restrictions so that you are no longer limited to downloading music to just one iPod, computer, or any other digital device. The pricing will also move from a flat rate of 99 cents per song to a range of 69 cents to $1.29 per song.
